God’s Special Children

He gave you a special child, to cherish in His name.
For you to love with all your heart,
For this child is not like others, nor will he/she ever be.
But love this child just the same, and take good care of him for Me.

This child may not learn as others do, or run, hear or see the same,
But he is yours and will take all guidance from you.
The road will be hard, your heart will be broken, you will cry a million tears,
But I promise when your child smiles at you, your pain soon disappears.

I know you will cry, and ask “Why my child, Why us?”, but I needed parents true,
And that is why, with care and trust, I have selected you.
So please don’t turn your back on your child, even though he may be slow,
If you accept your child, then together you will grow.

This child needs to learn the skills of life, and for that I have chosen YOU!
With your love, guide your special child, I trust in you.
Don’t try to see the future and what it may bring, as I promise that to none.
Just LIVE EACH DAY for all it’s worth, and enjoy MY Special Child that I gave you.
